Dr. Carrie completed her undergraduate degree at the State University of New York at Geneseo, graduating magna cum laude in 2006. She then attended medical school at the University of Rochester in New York.
After medical school, Dr. Carrie moved to Providence, RI for her pediatrics residency at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital. There she became a Fellow of the American Board of Pediatrics in 2013. Her career as a board certified pediatrician then began at Barrington Pediatrics, in Barrington, Rhode Island. Dr. Carrie worked with the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine and continues a special interest in the care of breastfeeding mothers and children.
In August 2016, Dr. Carrie, her husband, Hammurabi, and toddler age daughter, Julia, moved to the Lake Norman area. Her husband is on faculty at Davidson College. Julia, who doesn’t know a stranger, has quickly become the family’s self-appointed ambassador to the new neighborhood.
The addition of Dr. Carrie to our staff will enable GUP to offer greater access for both well child checks and sick visits to our growing patient base. Dr. Carrie is looking forward to meeting and taking care of our Growing Up patients and their families.
